Events Coordinator

About the role – Immediate start

Are you an organised, people-focused events professional who thrives on delivering meaningful, high-quality events? Join ATSE and play a key role in bringing together Australia’s leading experts to tackle some of the nation’s most complex challenges.

Reporting to the Engagement Manager, the Events Coordinator works collaboratively across ATSE to deliver a diverse program of in‑person, virtual and hybrid events that support our engagement strategy and strategic priorities.

You will work closely with internal teams, Fellows, external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure events are well planned, impactful, and professionally delivered — from conception through to evaluation.

The Engagement team is a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team that works hand in glove across the ATSE and STEM ecosystem to deliver a range of events including our prestigious annual New Fellows Showcase and ATSE Awards, forums, workshops, international symposiums and meetings that support our Fellows across the nation. The team is deeply supportive, are natural collaborators, and also have a lot of fun at the same time. The role is varied, dynamic and operates as a strategic partner to enable the delivery of ATSE's strategic goals.

A collaborative and flexible approach is critical to undertake this role successfully, to ensure every interaction reflects our values and contributes positively to a memorable participant experience.

In this hands‑on role, you will:

  • help to plan and deliver a cohesive annual events calendar, providing on‑the‑day operational support to ensure seamless event delivery.

  • develop and improve streamlined, end‑to‑end event processes to enhance the attendee experience.

  • provide advice and support to program, policy and Fellow‑directed events, including proactive risk mitigation.

  • develop online artefacts and systems to support event administration, ticketing and on‑the‑day technical delivery, and collaborate closely with our Communications Team to enable the promotion of events through online and digital channels.

  • monitor, analyse and report on event outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

About you

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Have demonstrated experience coordinating in‑person and virtual events

  • Are a skilled organiser who loves managing details and enjoys making things run smoothly

  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and are energised by working with people and building strong relationships

  • Are comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Are confident using digital tools, data systems and communication platforms including Salesforce and event management and ticketing platforms.

  • Have the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

  • Are committed to inclusive, values‑driven work and are motivated by positive social impact.
