Seeking a new CEO for ATSE

Following the successful tenure of Kylie Walker, ATSE seeks an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead one of Australia’s most influential voices in science, technology and engineering.

Reporting to the ATSE Board, the CEO will provide strategic leadership, strengthen ATSE’s national profile, and champion informed public discourse on the role of STEM in addressing Australia’s most significant challenges. This is an opportunity to shape policy, foster collaboration across industry, government and academia, and support a distinguished Fellowship committed to advancing Australia’s future.
The successful candidate will bring:

  • Proven senior executive leadership in complex, member-based or purpose-driven organisations
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Experience influencing public policy and national conversations
  • A strong partnership approach to Board governance
  • Commercial acumen and a track record of organisational sustainability
  • Strategic clarity, executive presence and inspiring leadership
